An evening of colourful and mysterious night creatures
When you think of moths you probably think of little dull brown creatures that chew through your wardobe and generally make a nuisance of themselves. Indeed there are those species but they are just a few in amongst around 2,000 species of large moth in the British Isles. These insects come in a greater spectrum of colours, shapes and sizes than the more widely known butterfly species . . . it is just that we don't normally get to see them. Pinks, lime greens, white and chocolate, large and furry, small but beautifully formed. The night shrowds a whole host of interesting insects some of which we hope to bring you a glimpse of on the 16th of August at the Rutland Falconry and owl Centre. A brief talk will be given prior to your trips around the moth lures to see what the night has in store. Please fill in the form below if you wish to join us for this year's only night time event at the Rutland Falconry and Owl Centre. |
